Absolutely fantastic pizza by the slice. After moving from NY finding pizza in CT was a bit of a struggle. Heard great things about Michel Angelos, so thought I would give it a try. I ordered the ciappino. My hubby ordered the white clam and bacon/onion. All were fantastic. The fish was fresh and the pizza was piping hot and crispy. Will definitely be back to try other slices. Got my eye on that sausage and spinach. Oh...and the prices were totally reasonable.

One of my friends wanted to try out this place... after seeing the reviews I was very skeptical but she ordered anyways a large pepperoni/ bacon... well to my surprise the secret ingredient in their pizza which I had no idea could be an ingredient was strands of hair...
She called to inform them of the multiple strands of hair in the pizza and the only thing they could say was "okay we will refund.... what's the card number". I was shocked! Not an apology or explanation... that says a lot about a restaurant. Well lesson learned for my friend always trust my fellow Yelper reviews! -

Quick Summary: We stopped by Michel Angelo's for what we hoped would be a quick dinner on a Sunday night. Unfortunately, the meal took much longer than expected, the service was well BELOW average, and the food was not great. In short, we will not be returning.

It seems like Michel Angelo's receives very mixed reviews, with a lot of the positive reviews primarily coming from a lunch/working crowd. This makes sense to me, because they've got a variety of pizzas ready by the slice. If you're looking for a quick lunch, you could grab a slice and leave fairly quickly.
Back to our dinner. It's important to note that the restaurant was extremely packed. It was a Sunday night and there was a giant party in the main dining area (maybe a family of 20 people) along with six tables of 2-4 people aside from us. Here's the problem: they only had ONE waitress for all these tables, INCLUDING the party of 20 people!! How does that make any sense!?
We actually ordered on the phone 20 minutes before we walked in, and still had to wait another 20 minutes to get our food. We ordered a single large pizza by the way. In another instance of frustration, we literally asked for water FIVE times before they brought it over. We were halfway through our meal when we finally received our drinks. It was absolutely ridiculous.
We sympathized with the server and didn't blame her for the situation, but the management should recognize that one person cannot serve that many people effectively. Especially, if they know a large party is coming in that night! I don't even want to know what would have happened if we didn't order our food beforehand.
Now about the food, we ordered a large pizza that was half cheese and half black olives and mushrooms. The pizza was poorly made, simple as that (see pictures). They didn't distribute the toppings appropriately, and put huge concentrations of them in the center of the pizza. There were some slices were the cheese and toppings completely fell off the pizza like soup. It was terrible. We also ordered a Greek salad which was really good. It was the highlight of the entire experience.
Overall, we had such a poor experience that we won't be returning. For those in the area, I'd recommend trying Michel Angelo's for lunch, before trying them out for dinner. -

If I could give less than one star I would. They do not listen to the customer. I ordered a grinder with cheese, mayonnaise, mustard and peppers and they always put lettuce on my grinders. I tell them that's is and they ask and I say nothing else.
They do not listen to the customer. If your going to pay for it then put whatever you want on it but if I'm paying for something and I tell you what I want then don't put whatever you want on it. Make it the way I'm telling you.
I'm pissed!!! -

My hubby and I came here with our son for dinner while driving home from a trip we went on with my family. The food was not very great, but the staff was considerate and nice so they warrant 3 stars out of friendliness of staff.
I got the eggplant parm, we got garlic knots for our son, and I forgot what hubby ordered. My taste buds were slightly assaulted eating this eggplant parm. It wasn't supremely awful but definitely not great. I'm spoiled I'm used to Long Island and sometimes NYC Italian and this was out of state in CT so maybe it is very good to other people.
The garlic knots looked more like bread rolls, maybe that's what you get when not in NY.
Overall I'm not sure I'd recommend them but everyone has different taste buds maybe someone else will find this place fantastic.
